The Foreign Trade and Investment Institute of Castilla-La Mancha (IPEX) is promoting a group visit by companies in the sweet and snack sector to ISM MIDDLE EAST 2022, which will take place in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) from 8 to 10 November.
ISM Middle East has become an international sweet and snack business platform for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and was attended by 200 exhibitors from 40 countries to present the latest trends and most innovative products from the sweet and snack industry.
The United Arab Emirates was 25th on the 2020 world ranking of countries receiving the most exports under the headings of “biscuits and preserved pastry goods and cakes” and “cocoa, chocolate and sugar confectionery”, with a 62% increase in 2021 for sales of the latter when compared with 2020. The trend in exports from the Spanish IAB to the United Arab Emirates remains positive, with rates of growth at 11% in the last six years.
Castilla-La Mancha supports attendance by companies as visitors so they may discover trends in the market and work on future business opportunities. Companies from the region will benefit from a Castilla-La Mancha institutional stand inside the Spanish pavilion being organised by FIAB, at which companies attending the event will be able to hold meetings and show product samples.
Subsequently, financial aid for participation will be granted to cover 75% of all justified expenses up to a maximum amount of 2,025 euros per company. There will be a maximum of six participants.
The deadline for submitting applications closes on 20 June 2022.
