Garcia Baquero is a Family owned Spanish cheese company and it is the leader in the Spanish cheese market with a 19.6% market share; and it is also global leader in Manchego Cheese PDO with a +29% market share in 2025.

Founded in 1962 by Hersilio when he opened his first small artisanal cheese factory, producing seven cheeses daily, dreaming of global expansion. By 1978, production increased to 1,500 cheeses daily, extending the brand across Spain. Today, Garcia Baquero has a extended footprint in Spain with four state-of-the-art factories equipped with the latest technology.

Garcia Baquero produces more than 43,000Tn every year and has international presence in more than 70 countries where also has a predominant position in each of these markets.

The company combines tradition, innovation, and sustainability. Garcia Baquero operates animal-welfare-certified sheep and goat farms (over 10,000 animals), uses 100% recyclable BDF packaging since 2024. Three production centers produce renewable solar energy covering over 35% of the company’s energy consumption. And It is also the first major producer certified in animal welfare for Manchego Cheese PDO.
